Writing thank you notes, or notes of any kind for that matter, is somewhat of a lost art these days. In fact, for most of us they are nothing more than a nuisance that our mother forced us to complete once upon a time.

It is so rare to receive real mail anymore that it really stands out when we do. Taking the time to write a note and drop it in the mail is a great, and inexpensive, way to remind someone that you care. It is even more impressive when the message comes on a handmade card. Think you just don’t have the time? Just follow these quick and easy steps to knock out handmade memories in minutes. What you need: - 1 piece postcard sized card stock (They sell this in stacks at your local craft store)
- 1 standard 4x6 fun picture
- glue or adhesive
- fun trim like ribbons, buttons, or yarn, whatever you have
Start by choosing a picture that means something to the recipient. Maybe a picture of the two of you the last time you got together. Whatever you choose, you want to conjure up a memory that makes you both smile. When you have your selection, glue it to your piece of card stock. This is the front of your card Now you can decorate your card anyway you like. Add a few fun buttons down in one corner, or trim the picture with ribbon. You options are only limited by what you have on hand. Or if you feel that the picture says it all then you are done! All that is left it to write you message on the back, postcard style. Remember, even though it looks like a postcard, you still want to use an envelope. It helps to protect the picture. This type of card will mean more than one you go out and spend several dollars on, and you can put it together in under a minute.
